Official 2008 Saab 9-3 Rendering

Sure hope they do not use those Silly White Lenses on the Rear Light CLusters.

It looked downright Stupid on the Saab 9-5 Estate, i would have thought they'd have enough complaints to scrap any more plans with it.

Whatever they do it is going to be a side note with the introduction of their XWD or their AWD system. Granted it's coming in part from GM, but finally they will be able to offer AWD on their models. I can't wait to see the new 9-3. I know it's not someone's heavinly 3-Series or even an A4; it doesn't need to be. My wife is getting 29-30 in our 9-3 and that's city and highway driving.

Actually, the coming awd-system is NOT from GM.
SAAB will be one the first to use the newly developed AWD system with a electronic diff from the Swedish firm Haldex.

I am especially looking forward to the “Black Turbo” that will arrive early 2008 with awd and 300-320hk.

About the new face – I like it.
Looks more like the old SAAB-look from the time when a SAAB was a SAAB.
Then can you other fools, who doesn’t know anything about cars, argue which one of the cars from your favourite car SAAB have copied now…

Haldex developed an electronic Diff AWD system back in 2004 and versions of it are currently used by Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat, Volvo, Bugatti, Ford, Mercury and Land Rover. SAAB won't ever be the FIRST of anything. They don't have a strong presence in the industry anymore. They are just another car on the road like their shared platforms from Subaru and other GM's.

It resembles the last gen Lexus IS to me.

I can't say... looks a bit too 9-5-ish for me. They need to step out of the box if they want to stay in the game. I feel sorry for SAAB.

much more SAAB. is ok!...but stay far away from GM

You can spend much more to get a little more, but I'm looking forward to this one. Am planning to pick one up in Sweden this fall. I only wish that Saab hadn't eliminated the dash-top display. I've enjoyed it for the past 3½ years. 2008 9-3 here I come: More safety, more handling, more Saab, more smiles.

Yes, that is true. But a lot of things has happend since 2004 and SAAB is getting a new, improved system.
