A 420hp Picasso work of art: Audi RS4 art car debuts
Romero Britto, a Brazillian pop-artist, has transformed the 420 horsepower Audi RS4 into a work of art for the official automotive sponsor of Art Chicago, America’s longest-running international modern and contemporary art . The Audi RS4 art car has a Picasso-like picture of a green-eyed female on the hood with wild-primary colors all over the body.

“For the Audi RS 4, I wanted to create something that would combine sophistication, dynamism and fun on one hand, but also include the aspect of a future generation on the other – as Audi is an innovative and leading brand”, Britto says. “This is why I came to choose the portrait of a woman as it incorporates all these attributes.” Britto, the designer of the Absolut Vodka bottle, has been compared to artists such as Picasso and Matisse.

Following its debut at the exclusive Art Chicago Opening Party, the Audi RS4 Art Car will embark on a tour of some of the world’s most captivating cities between New York and Mexico D. F. Super-bowl winning Quarterback Tom Brady will be the first to drive the Audi RS 4 Art car.

The Audi RS4 art car was commissioned by Audi and is one of the many cars in a series of art cars commissioned by the company.

We have to say, it’s pretty cool looking; in a artsy kind of a way.

I'm not "artsy", I'm a car guy and think that they absolutely ruined the lines of a beautiful car. Where's the Partridge family?

Lots of primary colours, eh? Definitely a paint job for the younger nuveaux riche. Not bad for pop art though!

Oh wow, I saw that car couple weeks ago at the Art Chicago exhibit. This makes sense now because in the front main lobby there was an Audi R8 along with a female PR spokesperson standing next to it.

Whatever, it's ugly. Not the car, the stupid paint job. I will never understand artists.
