You really need to read the title. "IF Lexus builds a LS460 would it look like this?" Not Preview of the upcoming LS460 Coupe. Anyway I dont think a large coupe is what Lexus needs right now. The SC is (over)due for a redesign and plans/rumors of a coupe IS is soon to come.

Don't forget the neons underneath, spinners, oversized hood scoops, weird paint-job, crazy graphics....

i thing that the term 'coupe' makes the automakers design something sporty, so im not so sure they would use a shortened body of a LS460 luxury sedan

Actually, Merc calls the CL as a coupe, so there you are.

wow a very nice shape, look nicer than the sedan. I have always wanted Lexus to come up with a lexury coupe based on the LS, hope this time they will.

If Lexus were to come out with a coupe version of the LS, I would want more styling variations to make it a touch more exciting. Removing two doors isn't enough.

The next SC needs to come out soon. At least some rumours or something.

I agree with answer, Lexus can make a grand tourer at the same class of the MB CL but as answer comment, a LS based coupe should have a distinctive styling in and out, or it will face a hard time competing with the amazing new CL especially when AMG package is in the picture.

That's why we need an F-model of this one too!

Forget a LS coupe. The main design the Lexus guys have to work on is the SC. This bulbous, overweight porker would be more at home if it had pig nostrils grafted on the front end.

Lexus needs to focus on a new SC. The pic is nice but the SC is the car they need to make. I needs to be much bigger and more powerful than the current car with some real style. The ameoba like sc that we currently have just isn't pretty.

According to mitch, the new SC will arrive in 2010. But one of my friends told me that a face-lifted SC would be presented at the Tokyo Motor show this October.

That actually looks really good, but I do agree with Xero that it would have more dynamic lights if it ever came to.

A coupe version of the new LS really isnt that bad of an idea. If they were to stick with the sedans headlamp design, it would be neat to see the LS coupe come equipped with the LS600hL's LED Headlamps standard! Lexus has everything else in the Luxury territory covered why not start working on coupes...

Full size coupes like the CLS and CL are "look at me! I have a lot of money and style" cars...the are gourgeous, no doubt...but a lot of their appeal rely's on the 3-point star...prestiege and image. Lexus should start at the bottom, like most have suggested....or wait

should they start at the top? A "flagship" coupe before the others below it? Not sure...

I think the SC should be left out of this because it is a practically a Roadster...it trys to compete with the SLK...its the same reason you dont compare a 3 series coupe to the SLK or the 6 series to the SLK...we know the SC needs a redo but this is totally different.

Yeah I just saw the Acura in this photo-shop everyones talking about, looks a lot better than the RL but it no doubt resembles it.
