That seems like a slow top speed for a 730 horsepower powerplant. Most 500 hp + cars can topple 200 (eg, the M5, M6). The CLS looks aerodynamic enough, maybe it's just not.

Hate to bust your bubble, but the M5 & M6 do not run 200MPH. I have driven both on the AutoBahn here in Germany. Full throttle for 20km got me to 302KM, that's 187MPH.

One who buys this will be a very elite class that really truly loves this car and love the power. Ontop of that it needs space to use the power as well. As for the typical CLS buyer they will think the price for this is absolutely mad!

I had a CLS 500 before but I would not pay that extra premium to own a CLS Brabus edition. However impressive numbers though. 4 seconds!!!! that's amazing!

the choices you have once you hit the $250,000-300,000 mark are pretty impressive. If I had that kinda cash, I would buy a Ferrari and then get an S550 or an LS to cart the family around.

But also with that money you have you could just love the CLS and what Brabus has done to it and still purchase the car regardless of what's in that price range.

Agreed. In that price range, you'd want something that doesn't share a body design with a $60,000 CLS500.

Believe me their is nothing normal about a CLS, even the 500...Its design is among the best designs of automobiles today..Infact, I challenge you to name one 4 door car that looks better than the CLS..On the plus side, I have seen Carlsson, Lorinser and Brabus CLS's and they are all magnificent, more eye catching than most super cars even..(By the way someone with more info might correct your 60,000$ price, which i think would belong to the CLS350)

the us does not offer a cls350, only the cls550 formerly the cls500 in addition to the amg versions.

Brabus does it again! Someday I need a Brabus anything!

I believe in Germany, Brabus is not registered as a car modifier...they are considered to be a full-on car manufacturer. This automobile should really be considered as a Brabus, not just a modifed MB.

As an ownerof a CLS 500, I think it's great that Brabus chose it to modify. But make no mistake, the stock car, in part due to the amazing transmission, will do 0-60 in 5.4 andis no slouch on the street. So, it's limited to 155, but you'll find little opportunity to check it out without access to a track or risking loss of you right to drive for some time. The car is simply the best design to come out of MB in many, many years. It's so good that others, e.g., Porsche, Aston Martin, et al, are copying the "4 door coupe" design and even BMW has one in the design stages.
