Nissan Has a New GT-R Skyline Model

this might be the most useless and out of date post autospies has seen in a while.

please get up to date. we've known this car will be sold in the US for well over 6 months.

Clearly, Nissan is the new sponsor here.

As much as I am excited to see the GT-R come to the States. There may be some complications... Nissan's sales have been slowly declining, and adding this monster sport car probably will not boost the sales by alot overall. Only time will tell.

So you're saying they should just skip it? Honda doesn't make any money off the S2000 either but they still make the car. Most companies do not make money off their "halo" car but it helps generate buzz for the brand and bring people into dealerships.

No no, im not saying they dont need it, im saying its goning to be hard to sell. Nissan back then had the sport car images and in which nearly put it in backruptcy. I know this gives Nissan that image again but with gas prices going up it would turn away some customers.

Corporate image is everything. Nike, Coca-cola, Adidas and McDoanlds spend MILLIONS on trying to get a good corporate image.

The GT-R, Shelby GT500, S2000 do precisely that.

First, great to have you, second, that post really got you some attention, some wanted...some unwanted. Yes the article was old and not to be a ball-buster but try and verify the posting date of any article you come across...if not sure then cross reference the information with other sites. Other than that...thanks for posting...it's good to have a woman's point of view once in a while!.

You will find many informative articles on this site but not necessarily opinions. Unfortunately we have too many brand conscious, attention getting, Martha Stewart "the interior...the interior..na na na" wannabees on this site. Many enjoy "the attack" more than contributing any useful information...so I hope you can get past that and don't take it personal. Also, relevance is subjective in this forum. Aside from the date thing...never be afraid to post something that you feel is informative. It can be useful to others while of no consequence to the rest. Some will ignore it while others will take the opportunity to make wise ass remarks. So, if you can hold your own and invite more of your like minded friends I'm sure we can look forward to many interesting exchanges in this forum!

The thing I kind of like about Autospies is that is a melting pot of different people who love a wide range of automobiles for either the similar and contrasting reasons, but then again their are several snobs here but I wouldn't take anything they say to heart. I come here on a daily basis but I noticed that certain articles regarding particular cars are not extremely in-depth to, let's say, a owner's board of a given manufacturer. For example I noticed much of the articles are links to other links rather than straight-forward reports that have detailed data whether it is official and speculative. Even better example is that no one hear discuss or probably even noticed the Porsche 997 facelift prototypes features larger side mirrors, which they probably do not understand the reason for making them bigger other than to make them seem more functional by the larger space. All in all, the information received here is varied but not exactly thorough.

Agent 001 you are an idiot, not to mention a disgusting old pervert. As if being fat, bald, and ugly was not enough, you have got to be at least 65 years old. Do you not find it pathetic then, that your profile is filled with pics of young, scantily clad women? I feel awful for the girl who had to endure your old, crusty lips on her cheek, she looked completely grossed out.

We all know you think with your wallet (as you obviously sacrifice objectivity for advertising revenue), we now know you also think with your member seeing as you've let the horrible Andrea get away with some pointless, outdated posts. Your site is rapidly descending down the tubes.

A sidebar to my above comment: I am fairly certain that in the post above criticizing 001, that although I am speaking my mind without using harsh or vulgar language, I will be banned despite 001's earlier statement that this website is a "microcosm of our society."

Also, he claims that a poster critical of Andrea doesn't get "to have sex with pretty girls" (I would love to know how this is relevant to anything) because he doesn't kiss their butts. First, 001, how would you know? I am sure you are nice to "pretty girls" and you are DEFINITELY not having sex with them. Second, this explains why you're being so nice to Andrea...she obviously can't post worth a damn. Finally, 001 your comment about being nice to pretty girls demonstrates your ignorance and lack of experience with women--girls aren't attracted to nerdy suck ups who buy them things nonstop and tell them what they want to hear.

Sorry, dear, but there is something here in America called freedom of speech. This is not like the eastern european fascist dictatorship you live under. spnst3, I'm very sorry to tell you but, the administrators of this forum erased about 20 comments from my last post, so don't tell me about freedom of speech. When I said "Please, someone erase these comments!!!", I meant the ones that are offtopic, please read them and after tell me what you think about them. You said "If you don't like my posts don't read them.", well if your posts are on topic then I won't mind. And don't tell me about "freedom of speech" if you don't know what that means.
