Sebring Convertible: push a button and get a coupe
The new Sebring Convertible reverses the usual trend by providing less rear legroom than prior models, but makes up for it with a new solid folding roof option (the fabric roof is still available). While the 3.5 V6 is speedy, the 2.4 liter is noisy; the 2.7 V6 fits in the middle with a good balance of power and mileage. Chrysler has taken some of the fun out by retuning the suspension to be smoother, but less capable of roaring around the curves; and by not offering a manual transmission. Overall, the new Sebring is quiet and smooth, and easy to use, but the hard front seats and loss of legroom make the 2006 models an attractive alternative.

Well, fanboy, that was sure a useful comment... it's one of the most advanced auto plants in the country. The car itself is pretty good, but man those seats hurt.

This car is just fugly...........compare to it last gen. The freaking headlight is outrageously huge, like it was made intentionally to get people to look at it. When people look at it instead of saying wow! what a nice car. They would says, myself included what the heck is that hideous thing doing on the road.

Its pretty nice IMHO . Saw it a couple of times on the street and its a handsome / understated car.

I mean this car competes with Camry /Accord/Sonata etc . for family customers, hence it has to be conservative in its styling, what do you expect ?

Far better then the EOS. :)

Seriously people, should this car or any of the other "big" 3 product should be brought up into a discussion? They're junk and nothing other than junk, so what's the point of posting them here?

A more sensuously styled body (instead of the stale loaf of bread it is) and some different head&tail lamp designs shouldv'e been done in the beginning. The sedan needs to be trashed IMO. Chrysler has proven they can do better with cars like the 300/Magnum... so let's keep it moving forward (moving forward... lol)

The official car(s) of Florida is - Ford Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis....and I'm not saying that because of the old people that drive them either. Seems like every bonehead in the southern half of Florida has one.

The tin top convertible is soooo plain. Nothing special about it at all. And a breezeblock roof doesn't help.

The previous gen showed more luxury than this new Sebring. The Cabrio version of this resembles an E-class. I wonder if Chrysler used the previous CLK as a base for this one. What else can Chrysler milk off Merc these days. I hope Merc sells off Chrysler and let them rot on their own. Mercedes level of quality has risen back quite a bit with these new generations but still maintaining the highest level of luxury. It's unfortunate that Chrysler isn't the same. Someone buy them already.

Isn't the Sebring FWD?

RWD could easily be changed to FWD.

seriously with such nice designs as srt-8 , 300c and imperial they obviously have the skills to design a nice car too bad they killed their chance on this one ......

Your friend's EOS is in a different size class, yet it's in the same price class.

Seems like everyone wants to compare apples to oranges or condemn the Sebring convertible entirely becuase they don't like the looks or, more to the point, it's made in America. Real patriotic, fellas - show ya love your country by assuming anything made there is crap.

And Heavey forbid someone should DRIVE one without first adopting a total mocking attitude - as though popularity in fleets or Florida is immediate grounds for condemning a car.

But then again, I guess if it's not made in Germany or Japan, it's trash anyway.
