10 seconds, wow that is fast. I've driven both a 330Ci convertible and a Z4 convertible. The 330Ci closed in 20 seconds and the Z4 in 10 seconds, there was a major difference between the two in terms of speed (and also in turn how often I would put the top down). I can see this definitely having its top down quite often.

It no surprise here, considering it the top sportcar from MB and costing around $450+K.

SLR roof is a softtop so it should be faster than hardtop convertibles, and thats not a surprise for many of us. The roof should be released manually and pushed slightly up to allow the automated mechanism complete the work. Finally, a 10 second time is not a super quick time, cos cars like Honda S2000 has similar time. Nevertheless, this car is awesome, its a 5 tesla chick magnet !
