Many analysts keep wondering what is going to happen to Audi if Porsche ever takes over its parent company Volkswagen. Would Porsche get rid of Volkswagen’s premium brand? Or would they learn to coexist? Well it seems they are both playing nice with Audi’s latest creation, the Audi TT clubsport quattro, which is inspired by Porsche’s 356 Speedster.

This article is wrong- it's not an "if" Porsche owns VW, it's a "when." Porsche will not kick Audi out of the group, as they make the earn the most profits out of all of the subsidiaries, including VW itself.

Otherwise, hot car! I love the new TT coupe- a black TT RS wouldn't be so girly...

Porsche never will take over VW. The takeover bid was already rejected this past week.

I think the consensus initial reaction is "WOW" and I have to agree. The problem with most cars, even the really expensive ones, is that they lack that initial reaction. I like it is what I'm saying...

I think it looks great, except maybe for the Chrysler 300 grille. A little too much for my taste. Other than that, great effort by Audi.

It's just a design "study." If they make a production version, obviously, it will have a top, be it a removable top or a retractable one.

Based on their track record of displaying concepts that they seriously want to make - I think this TT version will be "a go" in some sort. The press release says this:

It consequently remains a TT on the one hand, while at the same time demonstrating just what is possible with such a fascinating production vehicle. The possible small-series production of this model is being considered.
