Jaguar C-XF wins Editor’s Special Award

The Jaguar C-XF concept car won the Editor’s Special Award at the 2007 Fleet World Honours. The awards took place on Thursday 17 May at the RAC Club in Pall Mall, London. Jaguar’s corporate sales manager, David Spencer said: “I am delighted the C-XF has picked up the Editor’s Special Award from Fleet World. We are really looking forward to building on this when the XF goes on sale in the UK next year.”

The Jaguar C-XF Concept vehicle has a 4.2 liter supercharged V8 engine that produces 420 horsepower with 368 ft-lbs of torque.

The C-XF is currently being shown at selected venues throughout the UK, giving dealers and customers the chance to see it in the metal.

Just a stunning car......But I guess they have not driven it yet. Sorry to say but it is bound to have problems based on the track record.

Ah, the prototypical flippancy indicative of ignorance. Which track record are you speaking of exactly? Jaguar’s recent history is much different than their historical performance in terms of quality. The 2006 quality survey of the German magazine Auto Zeitung magazine placed Jaguar in first place. Now, I am not foolish enough to say that they are the highest quality cars in the world- they are not. Be that as it may their quality is significantly above average. J.D. power’s latest places Jaguar 5th in initial quality and 8th in overall quality.

Based on the reviews of the XK, I think this car has some huge potential. I can't wait to see it on the roads.

Looks GREAT. The side profile truly makes it coupe like. I dont see anything wrong with the design at all except for the odd shape of the headlights, but Im sure those will grow on me.

I'm hoping the final product offers that burnt-looking wood trim and at least some of that cool interior lighting.

When you say "burnt," is it anything similar to the CLS's matte wood? I didn't watch this video.

"Burnt" as in had a torch taken to it and literally burned.

If you want to see the cool things that are really left out of the articules I recommend the Jaguar Design Breifings. They talk about everything from the very unique B & W soundsystem to the lighting and there is a lot of video. The materials and sound one is particularly interesting.
