Latest Vette SS Caught Suspension Testing Against a Ferrari 599

These latest spy shots of the Chevrolet Corvette SS, or Corvette Z07, or whatever, aren't the sharpest photos we've seen but they do point to one important development. Taken at a supplier test track in Europe, this Corvette SS prototype was caught testing alongside a Ferrari 599. As fun as it might be to think Chevrolet considers the 599 a competitor for the upcoming Corvette, the real connection is their suspension technology. Like the current Corvette, the Ferrari 599 uses a magnetically adjustable shock absorber system made by Delphi. Up to this point, the system has been offered on standard Corvettes only, but it appears as though Chevrolet's engineers might be reworking the system to help control this Corvette's massive horsepower.

I hear the Lexus IS-F has the best suspension system in the entire WORLD! Just a few days ago I saw one driving upside down in the Holland Tunnel!

I'm a lexus fan, but also realistic one too. The IS-F isn't something you compare to a Ferrari. If the Corvette is tested against a Ferrari, then good for them, it means they're trying to get to where Ferrari is.

But, the IS-F needs to prove to itself it can bean the M3, and the others cause that's its class.

I think for the first time in a very long time, GM is going produce a car that will be sold out before they start production.

BTW, the Z07/blue devil/SS is going to give every 100k+ sports car a serious run for thier money. There are going to be a lot of dissapointed Ferrari owners out on the tracks.

First the Audi R8 and now this new Z06..Some brands are slowly pushing Mercedes and BMW of their firm grasp as my top automobile companies...Never thought I would love an Audi or a Corvette..
