New Spy Shots of 2008 Accord EX Sedan

You can blame Honda for copying too much the BMW 5 series, but you can't be serious about the Altima or the Camry.
Let's see, the Altima does look like it's due for a new design already. It seems like all they did was a MMC, the front end the car has no persona, uninspiring ugly looking grill.
Then the Camry which is not too bad concidering it looks like a carbon copy of the Lexus LS, it's not that bad, but neither good.
My only problem with that Accord is it looks like it was built by BMW's Bangle. They must have given Honda permission, because there is no way Honda could have photocopied the series that well without any hesitation. The Head lights remind me very much of Infinities.

This is down there with the Galant? Please, this coming from someone who claims Lincoln was the first to have xenon headlights.

It does too. This car has a powerful look to it.

SO first in US was Lincoln, First in Europe and Japan was BMW

Yeah, I've already argued with her about this subject. She wrote that Lincoln was the first in the world. When I called her on that, she told me that she said it was in the U.S. Unfortunately for her, I went back to her comment and showed her that she said in the world. So Lincoln the first in the U.S.: maybe (don't trust Wikipedia), first in the world: definitely not.

And that's why old Hondas' still look good while old Toyotas' and Nissans' look dated. I like to. It is very refined, elegant and conservative. This is Hondas thing and noone does it better.

I hate the head lights that stick out like that. It is really hard to get a solid read on the car. It will be great for what it is, but they need to notch up the styling a bit.

I think this looks nice. Especially for Honda. Honda, in my opinion, used to be the Japanese car that was more exciting to look at. Now that Nissan has taken that role, Honda has changed into more of a conservative/elegant look to their cars. It looks good.

I think in the midsize segment for the best looks hand down is the fusion. Honda Accord will beat the camry anyday

You are hopeless, how you could compare an almost 6 years old car to a new one? You must really be stupid.
The Camry sales are big because they sale a lot of fleet cars. On the other hand most Accords end up in private driver, not Budjet or Alamo.
One thing I see is that when Honda put effort on something it kills. For example look at the Pilot, it was actually competion for the 4-runner, but since the Pilot came out it destroyed it.
You want one more? Toyota was very tough to beat in mini van, but the very first Odissey which was not so succesful still created a lot of problem for the Previa that Toyota had to kill it and answer with the Sienna, but when Honda went back to the drawing board with the redesign Odissey, the Sienna got her ass kicked in every fight against the better looking and more agile Odissey.
Although, Toyota tried to copy the look of it, but it takes more than look to be a champion.

I don't think any of the cars in this class are particularly interesting... but I do think this new Accord looks good.

I believe that LexASS drive a Camcry (camry), Lexus is Toyota anyways so it doesn't matter.

It looks like it has a big butt though..hm..

Both this and the '07 Camry are hideous. japanese cars have really been getting uglier and uglier lately.

I'm interested to know if the '08 Accord will handle more like a sports sedan, or if it will understeer as badly as the last generation.

Probably doesn't matter for vehicle sales, though. these are people-haulers, and the only things that matter in this segment of the market is price and reliabillity.

What I don't understand is why the coupe looks sooo much better than the sedan? I mean I know coupes are sportier but the headlamps and tail lamps on those spy photos looke nice. The sedan, hideous. MAYBE, Hopefully, this is just part of Honda's disguise....doubtful, but lets hope. The car is still a mess however, a mish mash of other cars in one. BMW< Hyundai (*gasp*) and such. Even feeling a bit of Fusion in subtly in the grill and squared off looking fog light area below....Lord Honda, what has happened??

What is going on Honda? If you keep putting out designs like this, then you will be playing catch up with Hyundai soon as their designs improve.

I don't see what's so horrible about this design... it looks aggressive and inoffensive, and it has the side-profile of a Passat, which I like. I doubt that the camouflage in back is letting us see anything, because small taillamps like that aren't Honda's thing.

Not a bad design at all. Rather conservative but elegant. I DO hope those headlights don't stick out that much. I'm glad it's not in a FCX styling direction too.

Kinda looks like an Altima and Ford Five Hundred hooked up and invited an Audi A6 to watch. But in a good way.

001, you MUST get rid of the "Discount Tire" ad at the bottom of every page. It obscures the last comment in every blog, so you can't reply to it... and you can't even fully read it. Sometimes, it even gets in the way of what I'm writing. It's incredibly annoying, and makes me never want to shop at "Discount Tire," more than anything.

give me a break, if this were 5 years ago, it might be ok. Since it looks a lot like the Saturn LS sedan, it's not so good. We know Honda can do better than this.
