The R8 looks so small with those people standing next to it. Either that or those are some huge soccer errmm.. 'futbol' players.

due to the fact it is based off the gallardo it is actually very small in person.

Smart strategy. That's like a car company getting the NY Yankees to drive only their cars. Personally I prefer Barcelona FC to Real Madrid (though I must say I love Robhino) - but Real is a big time football club. Not to get smart Will - but it's actually "footballers" as opposed to football or soccer players.

Will, it must be the tall soccer players. I asw a convoy of R8 Audis on a desert road in Nevada a couple of month ago and I was the front passenger in a Yukon XL. Believe me, the R8 looks pretty big on the road.
EvoAudi, did you sit in one yet? Does it feel small when you sit in it?
BTW, I guessed correctly that the convoy was headed for a photoshoot as the R8 subsequently appeared on the cover of the April issue of both Automobile magazine and Road&Track (with a desert background).

Enn, I, too, saw an R8 on the road. I was in an A6 rental in L.A. It doesn't look big, and that's the whole point of this car; the proportions are perfect, but the car isn't overwhelming. Walter de'Silva designed it as the Marilyn Monroe of cars- she has perfect proportions, and she looks like a relatively tall woman, and yet she was only 5'3".

It's a very low to the ground car. Saw one driving around here in Long Beach a week or so back (not sure if it was a production car someone imported or a test car, because it was completely unwrapped... no license plate on it though). Amazing looking car.

Audi sponsers a few football teams I think, Real Madrid being a major one. Beckham had a Q7 and as Limos they used A8Ls.

The R8 and S5 look pretty hot right there...
