I don't know if the story is the same but i read about this case or a similar case a few years ago and what it was said at the time is that the farmer was rather poor and knew that the car worth a lot but even thoug he refused to sell the car, at the time in the magazine that i read he said that it was his treasure and it would always be untill he died!!

It happens. I know someone in the town I grew up in who didn't discover, or realize until his father died that one of the cars covered and hidden in the back of one of their Quonsets was an I don't remember the exact year.. a 50 something Aston Martin DB2 Mk. III or Mk. IV or something like that. It was an exceptionally pretty car. I don't know what happened to it: he probably sold it it had obviously been neglected.
