Spy Photos: 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL Getting a Facelift
We saw what looked like an AMG version of the 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL roadster weeks ago, but our latest spy photos reveal a few more details on the standard SL 550. Design changes up front include a revamped grille with a single blade of trim across the front while the headlights have a more rectangular design in place of the current model's twin ovals.

To keep it in the spotlight. Personally I don't see any reason why they should facelift it again. The current model is the best luxury roadster on the market and always has been.

How long are they keeping this SL? 13 years like the old one? I think it's good enough to do so.

I would assume that the new front-end would make the SL more closely resemble the new S- and CL-Class design language, having more angles than curves.

I doubt that they would 100% change the front end... IMO it won't be a huge difference. But only time will tell. The SL has been aging quickly over the past few years, so I hope this looks new again.

It definitely has angular head-lights. look closely. probably somewhere between s-class and slk.

Never mind that. Now that I actually see the camouflaged car, I can tell it won't have the SLK's nose. It will harken back to the SL Gullwing of the '50s, with the single strip.

Why does AutoSpies waste their readers' time with heavily disguised pictures that don't communicate anything, other than someone is testing a car, but 'cha can't see nuthin'?
