Top 10 Worst Cities for Speeding

Here in Denver, I just have them all memorized on my commute. But it's pretty clear where speed traps would be if people just took time to be observant. Watch out under bridges, blind corners, over hills ect. Go fast when you can, slow down when you should. These ideas have helped me survive the streets with nary a radar detector or speeding ticket my whole life.

I can believe those. I lived in Colorado Springs and Denver for a long time. As for Virginia Beach, Albuquerque, and Ann Arbor I did not notice any speed traps while I was visiting.

I live in orlando and I agree this is one of worst places to speed. If you are going to drive in Orlando and the surrounding areas please invest in a radar detector.

There's no getting away from speed traps in South Florida at all. If you're on the interstate or a highway, you might as well pull over. If you're in a city, you might make it with a fast enough car, but more than likely, you're going to have 10 cars on your ass within 5-10 minutes.

We don't have speed traps. Ann Arbor and some suburbs do stringently enforce, but there aren't any speed traps--as in places where the limit dramatically decreases without warning where the police are always sitting. There are a couple of places where it's illegal to smoke and drive. It isn't posted, which I think is a bit unfair.

It really doesn't matter anyhow. If you drive quickly enough or make a quick turn into an apartment complex or something, they can't catch up. They're in Chevrolets and Fords after all.

Ann Arbor is a HUGE pain in the ass. The police in AA are useless human beings. We should take them out and toss them in a meat grinder. They are worthless.

They're idiots because they believe in enforcing the law to the letter without regard to given circumstances. Yes, one can drive 40 mph safely in a 35 and one can drive 32 dangerously in the same 35. They don't seem to understand either. If they pull you over, you must be ticketed--they don't have the option of not ticketing you under most circumstances. I don't think their police are as big a pain as their traffic signals--untimed. It can seem to take 30 minutes to get 5 miles.

I can get away with it when I have my radard detector, easy...

Chicago is a fast city. On the highway, where the limit is still 55, everyone is going 70-100mph. Nobody EVER gets pulled over, unless they're pushing 110 and a cop is lurking on the shoulder...

Chicago drivers are the worst. Have they ever heard of slow traffic staying to the right or pass left? I've driven through the UP to avoid Chicago.

There's a road in the UK out of London, the M1 I think (a motorway/highway with 70 limit), with no camera, wide, well surfaced lanes and everyone does 90. It's great!
I just remember the time we raced a TGV (the really fast train) in France. And won. Doing 130 mph (!).

Detroit. I'm not surprised. If anyone's from Detroit, all I can say is SOUTHFIELD FREEWAY. There are days that we drive the speed limit, but most of the time we are doing 10+ over, even in all lanes. Lately people are driving the speed limit, just because of gas prices though. Me, I don't need a radar detector, I know where the cops are. I am a radar detector.

Well I just moved from West Palm Florida to Vancouver Canada, & compared to Florida Vancouver speed traps are a breeze...In fact I haven’t even seen one in the 2 months I've been here. I hated having to watch for all the undercover police cars in Florida, Camaros, Expeditions, Mini-vans etc.

No wonder this is the only place in Canada radar detectors are legal.
