US auto sales will bounce back, Big 3 may not

According to a forecast by Global Insight, the US auto market will pick up pace next year. Sales will begine to rise after taking a dip in 2007. They won’t pass 17 million, which was last seen in 2001, until 2010.
While overall US auto sales will rise, Detroit’s Big 3 market share will continue to slide in the coming years as international auto makers begin to catch up.
