SPYPHOTOS: Facelift for BMW 3-Series – sedan and wagon
As can be seen from these photos, BMW is preparing a facelift for the 3-series to meet the upcoming new Audi A4 and the new Mercedes C-Class. On these pictures of an undisguised test car one can see the new bumper, the different shape of the BMW typical ”kidneys” in the front grille, and the deeper air intakes on the sides.

The restyled 3-Series is expected to be released at this fall Frankfurt Motor Show.

bmw can take the heat from lexus l-finesse. i think different market from is to 3 series. same segment but slightly different buyer. 3 series more business type more conservative and professional. the IS is more lady-like and for ricer racer

They should have updated the Sedan's kidney grill with the coupe's design, it looks much nicer.

I'd like to see them change the shape of the tailights on the outside and the non iDrive interior dashboard. Im no fan of iDrive but the dash without it is hideous. To tell the truth i'd like the interior of the last gen car in the new one.

Agree as well. How awesome would it be if they updated the 3-Sedan with 3-Coupe headlights, taillights and dashboard? The difference would be night and day (ugly to good-looking).

The really need to concentrate more on the rear of the sedan - the tailights look like crap.

Unfortunately for BMW i dont think it will last much longer.
An what is it with BMW refreshening their cars every month lately. Make one nice design from the start that can last a good 3-4 years without any change.
