1000km to test drive the 2007 JDM Honda Civic Type-R
"I must admit that it may be hard to realize, but what you have in front of your eyes is a Honda Civic, yes the Civic, a car that has been part of the Honda line-up for 34 years. For the first time the Japanese manufacturer used a new strategy for its best-seller, each main automotive market will have its own Civic. This is why the European version is so much different from what we have here, between the US and the JDM version though, the differences are not so big, especially when you look at the front end, pretty similar.
Of course the one we had is the 2007 JDM Honda Civic Type-R, codename “FD2”."

Honda's have been making the civic for decades now and it is of great value. Honda's under rated engineering isn't respected much by the consumers of higher end cars. But if you're a car fan you will know what Honda's all about. Their not the P.O.S you think they are and they are very reliable. Honda also just made a Jet and it's apparently had great reviews. I'd buy one once I retire.

Anyways, the Civic Type R is a quick car not a super car but a very quick car. Performance is there on this FWD. Thing about Honda engines is that they love to be revved high. I once owned a late 90's Integra GSR with Type R motor and it was turbocharged. It was one fast car. Now cars today are getting so quick there is no need to 'rice' out cars.
