What? A 3 series has class? The only performance and class is Ferrari.

Performance AND class = AMG.

The nissan GTR is much better sports car then the M3, you can't beat atessa-ets and super-hicas.
But M3 VS IS-F that will be interesting.

M3 vs. IS-F will be intriguing from a performance perspective.
but in the looks department, there's no contest: M3 hands-down.

GTR is entirely diff. category. IS-F will spank this thing. Looks dept. hands down IS!

nicehomer:
the IS-F is a tacky, aftermarket looking car. it's apparent that the IS was never designed to become this car. frankly, the real aftermarket companies have done a better job with their kits for the IS.

and since when does the IS-F come as a two-door convertible? there is no lexus competitor to this car.

beautiful car. the best combination of style and performance to be had under $100k. and a convertible to boot...

Lol naming features u know nothing of...but yes the Z06 and skyline are in a different league than the M3.
But as far as the IS-F goes..no comparison. It will be obliterited in a straight line or at the track.

How do you know that the M3 is gonna be faster than the IS-F.

It doesn't matter. The M3 has pedigree and has been bred very well throughout the years. It will be a more fun car to drive, I almost guarantee it.
However the IS-F is not a competitor with the M3. A sedan vs a coupe. Merc's C class amg did the same going against M3 but I think its in different segments.
The IS-F should be going against the C class amg's, S/rS4's. Only difference is the Germans are more classy than ricer. You will see less racer boys in the C63/S/RS4 than the IS-F because most business professionals won't be looking towards an IS-F. Let's be realistic. I see very few business type people own an IS.
The price difference would also be another reason why there would be less racer boys owning the Merc or Audi.

RS5 is really the only direct M3 competitor to come out, but we don't know when that's coming.

We hear all this talk about the IS-F being "rice" and "not for business guys." The reality is that I've seen more kitted-out, big-winged old M3s than I have ISs.

you're right will...there are some tacked-out aftermarket M3s out there. they couldn't leave well enough alone.
now they can just buy the IS-F...it's already tarted up for them!

In thinking about looking at BMWs, I can't decide if I would want a Vishnu 335i or an M3. The Vishnu is slightly less powerful, but just as quick, because of the weight difference. The only reasons I'd want it are because it's slightly less money (mine would be $60K with options and the $1,300 Vishnu kit), and because it's a total sleeper, which would scare some M3 drivers off the road.
Suggestions?

I suggest the M3. After all it is factory tuned so you will still retain the warranty. On top of that you have to get basically aftermarket parts which may potentially void the coverage.
Vishnu may sound good but the M3 is just as good if not better. After all the M is more recognized than the Vishnu!
Oh yeah! S4 i got great news.. i'm getting rid of the LS in a year. I've decided I want the R8. There will be a slight waiting list I believe but I will get one. I can't wait!

Oh, BTW, I'm limiting myself to $110,000 after further mulling over the subject of my next car. That scratches exotics like the R8 and V8 Vantage off the list, but it still leaves me with other amazing cars: XKR, 650i, M6, RS4/S5/RS5 Cabriolet, SL550, 911 C4S, 335i Vishnu, M3. This is going to be the hardest car decision I've ever had to make. I wish it was as easy as "R8."

S4, Don't worry the cars you listed as just as exotic. The XKR, 650i, M6, SL550, 911 C4S, & M3 are sold in exotic stores along side Ferrari's and other super cars.
The way I see it is if the R8 didn't look the way it did it wouldn't seem that exotic. If an SL looked like that it would seem comparable to the exotic super cars instead of just being an exotic car.
But anyway you got a great list there. The XKR is beautiful as well. I think if you want to be unique you'll need to get an XKR since they sell less than the rest :P but I heard Jag's have some minor problems that add up but if you're under waranty it's alright I suppose.
But XK/XKR with 20" black wheels and a polish lip. It looks mean!

How about you tell me a lexus product that is better than the M3? In all of Lexus' history? Ok you could'nt find one, how about you tell me a Lexus that is better than the 3 series coupe? I can't hear you!

LexusAdmirer, I can't tell if you're one of the "retarded" Lexus fans who make stupid comments, or one who actually has half a brain. Because BMW has been making the M3 convertible for three generations. Why do you think they would stop now?

RS4 Cabriolet is the best carbio in the world, forget the oversteering M3 CC cause sucks...ugly design, ugly materials in the cockpit, ugly steering wheel and of course not so performant like the RS4 Cabriolet who is capable of 4.3s (with a good driver not stupid drivers) to 0-62m/h and top speed of 175miles/h without the limiter...

Talking about performance when the M3's statistics are not out does not help your case. Wait till the M3 and M3 cabrio are out.

Okay, I love the RS4 Cabrio and hope it comes here (so I can compare it to this car), but that was a stupid comment. The M3 is every bit as good.
