And here was me thinking Renault were quite talented at making good-handling cars....

I had a chance to drive a brand new one in 2002 (it was a rental and I was still pulling the QA stickers off the doors). I must say I was extremely impressed by it. I ended up driving it 1600 miles (had it for a week on business... who knew Newquay was so far away).

The driver information center, the CD controls (with rotor bar on the stalk), ability to set max speed warning, tire pressure, dual auto climate control, and above all it drove real smooth.

If this new one is anything like it's 2002 version, it'll be a good car to have. Also made driving on the wrong side a lot easier :)

I hate those studio pics. I not judging the looks of this car until I see it in real life.

But I do have to say the front looks a bit Citroen to me. Weird.

Looks ok...nothing special.

Looks fantastic, a more modern and expressive interpretation of the current car, certainly more striking than its rivals.

The Citroen links are inevitable, however Renault has been using the grill-less, curving bonnet since the companies inception.

Looks very concept-car like, which is a welcome relief after the mainstream-looking Twingo.

Wow, it really does look like the C5. I'm not feeling this car at all, because there's nothing that says "Renault" about it. Just very Citroën.

The interior is nice, though.

French cars have always had very comfortable seats -- I would love to see some of these cars come to North America. I hear that this particular model will share the platform and engine with Altima. I just hope it will get a conventional 6-speed automatic transmission instead of the CVT.
