lol yes but read what he has to say about them...

He can hate a car simply because of its mirrors or pedals...

"If you were to buy a 6-series, I recommend you select reverse when leaving friends' houses so they don't see its backside."

Porsche never looked that bad. Of course they pale in comparison to a Lexus, right? Bahhhhhh!

But since that Maserati Quattroporte, they have released it, at least in Europe with FULLY automatic gearboxes if you're willing to buy a more expensive model. Which apparently is very pleasent to drive, which also means it wouldn't be on that list.

When he was reviewing the 6 series he mentioned that the designer was going fine from the front then he died before he finished the rear! lol.

Everyone knows he hates BMWs, because of their designs, but praises everything else about them.

Jeremy is a actually a really great writer and host with Top Gear. He has been known to have very different views than the public and constantly gets boo-ed on the show when he puts a cool car on the bad cars wall but thats what makes the show so great, opposing personalities. It is obvious that this list is not going to reflect most people's views of what a bad car is, especially with the Ferrari 599,BMW 6-series, Aston Martin Vanquish S, and Maserati Quattroporte. Don't take what he says too seriously, he isn't the god of car reviewers (although he is pretty high up there).

"5 Perodua Kelisa 1.0 GXi

"This is without doubt the worst car, not just in its category but in the world. It has a top speed of 88mph but takes so long to reach it that no one has ever lived long enough to verify the claim, the inside is tackier than Anthea Turner’s wedding and you don’t want to think what would happen if it bumped into a lamppost.

"Also its name sounds like a disease."

LOL!

rofl

I'm guessing only British people know who she is.

Anthea Turner is the British television personality who had the "Flakegate" wedding. Pretty pathetic.

He is a hilarious writer and a fantastic television host but his opinions are many times simply ignorant.

In this article, his reasoning for disliking the 599 is based solely on the STEERING WHEEL.

Also, the title seems equally stupid. Personally, I would see it as a compliment to be on the same list as a 599.

A blurb from the Chery website on the Chery QQ:

"Express yourself! QQ is a car that dances to fashion beats. It is like you: young, peppy and cool. Wherever you are heading, QQ oozes personality and sparkle. It is just for loads of fun!"

LOL! I just had to put that somewhere.

Clarkson's reviews are more for entertainment than actual fact. I've never been a fan of Top Gear because of him & I can't stand Clarkson's 'love to hear himself talk' personality.

I'm the owner of one of the cars on his list, the 645ci (Actually I drive a 650i), & I would say the total opposite of half the negative things he said about the car.

He states there's no wood option for the car which is completely untrue, comments on the cabin being not at all sporty which is crazy, along with the fact that he thinks the driver position is not so good, & he seems to be the only one that doesn't know how to work the nav system, so therefore, it must not work at all.

I might automatically be on the defensive considering the circumstances, but since Aston, Ferrari, VW, BMW, & Maserati have all made his worst cars list, just reassures me that he would hold a top place on the worse auto-reviewers list.

I don't think we get a wood option in Britain.
And the 650 doesn't really follow BMW's philosophy, it's weight distribution is very nose heavy.

im also a owner of a 05' 645ci and i totally disagree with him - his view is yes, funny and smartass but his actual views beneath it are not genuine. he shouldn't be comparing it with other cars that are way below the bar Bangle put the 6 - its supossed to be a sport car noone can duplicate and so far noone has - (except the CL - its a beautiful ripoff) but i do love me my BMW.

im gonna go now. gotta change my 645 badge to 666.

It's got a 52/48% weight distribution same as a Z4...It's actually better balanced than most sport cars on the road today. A Porsche 911 has a weight distribution of 62/38%, a Cayman 55/45%, & a Nissan 350Z 53/47%.

RupertRupert - 6/4/2007 9:48:16 AM

I know but 52/48 is a way off BMW's famed 50/50.
I'm assuming the 911 and Cayman are both rear biased, which is better for steering and rear wheel traction.

If he calls the interior of the 6-Series "not sporty" then what is it? It certainly isn't luxurious. Although I commend Mercedes for reworking the 6-Series interior and making it luxurious for their new CL.

Hardly. You've never sat in one, as I can see. It's the most luxurious car in BMW's lineup, including the 7 Series. The leather and wood are beautiful, and it looks, feels and just IS more substantial than the interiors in the SL, SC and XK.

Really Will, go to a BMW dealer & actually sit in one, I have no doubt your opinion would be totally different. Especially the white interior with the light birch trim, beautiful.

Bangle says himself out of all the BMW's in the line-up today, they were the most meticulous with the 6’s interior, with traces of plastic down to a minimum (Knobs in the car are either metal or rubber).

The cars interior has a very rich & upscale feel to it, I’d even go as far to say much nicer & interesting to look at compared to the CL’s interior.
