It was reported in early May, that GM may be dropping the Cadillac STS and DTS model from the Cadillac product line. Troy Clarke, President of GM North America, said that instead “you’ll see kind of a smaller Cadillac entry — something less than the CTS, something around the CTS and something bigger than the CTS.”

Scrap that, and divert all funds to a DTS extreme makeover. Put a bullseye target on the S-Class and do your best!

That's too tall an order and beyond the scope of GM. They don't make many parts that could be used to compete head to head with an S550. If they were to fabricate them model specific, it would cost more than what Mercedes charges for the real thing.
