Agree that the Audi A/S5 should be there. Volvo has waited so long for our debut that the hype is wearing off. Take it off the list. G37 is already sold out for our first couple of months here, so I think that's highly anticipated. SLR should be off the list, and it shouldn't even be made. It's just highly anticipated by people who can't afford it. Take that off the list and replace it with the IS-F.

Haha, ok who put the CTS in there. The S5/A5, RS6, IS-F... all deserve to be there more than the Cadillac.

Yea but the CTS has gotten so much fanfare. I would say that it is more anticipated than the IS-F because there's already an IS out there. The IS-F is a hopped up IS. The CTS is all new (and really nice).

ya good point. the cts is a new bodystyle. is-f is from the normal is but beefed up. i saw pics the cts is classy. is-f is very japanese traditional tuned. look like bodykid, rim, lowered. i think younger people like me will like the car but anyone past the 25 age will not.

IS-F or CTS, I want both! But....I have to say....I think very soon here I'm getting the CTS (and by very soon I mean a year or so). It just caught me like a 16 yr old boy who just saw a pretty girl!

That's cheap when you see what it offers.
An AM Vantage is $124,000 and as beautiful as it is, performance is not up to par with a lot of car in it's class.

Actually, Audi already released the pricing. It really is $109,000 for the manual; $118,000 for the R-tronic.

The Vantage is definitely up to par in it's class, it's just lacking about 20-40 hp. The R8 could be considered the new benchmark in this class, but says it won't come standard with things like a nav system & leather covered dash.

"SoCaL" True the Vantage looks better, but F430's sex appeal, price tag, all around recognition & performance top the Aston's...it's a Ferrari.

The Vantage has nothing standard, either. R8 tops out at about $130K without ceramic brakes (unnecessary unless you use it at the track frequently). But it has a whole lot more standard goodies than a 911 Turbo or V8 Vantage.

Oh and- why would someone waste money on a leather-covered dash in a sports car? Maybe an A8 or S-Class, but R8? No way!

I don't know S4, when you're paying more than a 100 big ones for a car I'd expect it to have superior materials like a leather dash, regardless of the type of car.

The M6 fails to offer a standard leather dash aswell, but Cadillac manages to outfit the cheaper CTS-V, STS-V, XLR-V, & Mercedes does the CLS550 & SL550 with standard leather dash.

Munich, BMW offers the extended leather as an option in the M5 and M6 for exactly the reason S4 mentioned -- not everyone wants it. If you want it, get it, if you don't, don't. There aren't a whole lot of options for the M6, that's one of the few.

I honestly don't care about a leather dashboard, and I'm probably going to pay that much for my next car. I want leather SEATS- but a dash? Who cares? Again, it's nice to have in a CLS or A8, but in a sports car it's unnecessary. I'm not going to be feeling the dash every day. And even if I am, it's still of high quality- it's an Audi.

In other words, it's just a waste of money. I'd rather base price be lower and it be an option than the car be $110K for manual and $120K for auto, with it standard. The only option I'd really want on the R8 is the nav system; I'd think about the B & O stereo, but again, a perfectly good stereo is standard.

That's only if you don't want to wait. The R8 has a long waiting list, and they're charging $10-20K over sticker just to get one, if you want it NOW.

I'd wait and save myself some money. It's hard to wait for a car like that, but it's possible. If I can get into an R8 for under $125K, I'll finance it. If it's more, I'll be forced to lease it. That is, if I really commit to this car.

"Toyotaman" you moron...What did you think Lexus's whole line-up was going to make this list? First off the GS, ES, & RX aren't new, they're already on the road, hence the title of "Most ANTICIPATED 2008 Luxury Cars."

The IS-F isn't on this list because they probably had to choose between it & the M3 to take a position on this list, & the M3 is no question the easy pick, obviously. Also how can any one truly look at that picture of the M3 & call it ugly! What's so ugly about it?

Finally how do you know the IS-F is so much better than the M3 in which actually has a history, & has proven itself over & over again as the benchmark in this class. No ones driven the new M3, no ones driven the IS-F, so obviously you'd take the IS-F based on the badge alone as the badge whore you are. I understand but fortunately I can't relate.

BTW the M3’s engine is naturally aspirated.
