Tundra Lift Kit Review: ToyTec 3" Lift Kit

ToyTec's 3" lift kit increases the height of the front-end of a stock Tundra 3", and raises the rear 1". The kit allows for tires as large as 35" and gives the truck a nice stance. Installation was fairly straightforward, and the kit is well-designed. Read the full review and see installation pictures and the installation video.

Nothing too exiting, Just another drop bracket kit that does nothing to increase wheel travel! All this does is increase wheel hop. Then again this toy is way too low stock to drive off road. My ideal suspension or truck is anything that races in the class 8 in the Bajha 1000. The tire in the photo is a 33.2x12/20 Too little rubber on the sidewall if you intend to take it off road.

Obviously you've never driven a Tundra. Like Toyota or not, the truck is worthy of respect. As is the F-series, the best selling truck in America for three decades.

Wonder how sales are going? I live in a large truck market and haven't seen a single one on the road (NEW or OLD for that matter). Toyota sells very well here too. Have seen ga-zillion F150s though.

I live in Charlotte, N.C. and they have been slowly eating these things up down here, and this is Dodge Country all the way.

A THREE INCH LIFT IS OKAY FOR THE GUY OR GIRL WHO WANTS THAT. ARE YOU NOT A TRUE TRUCK PERSON WITH A THREE INCH LIFT? SOME OF US JUST WANT THE LIFT TO CARRY LARGER TIRE, NOT TO NECESSARILY DO TRUE OFF ROADING. I AM A TOYOTA GUY AND I LIKE THE NEW TUNDRA A LOT.HOWEVER,I LIKE CHEVY,FORD,DODGE,NISSAN AND HONDA. TOYOTA HAS DONE A GOOD JOB FOR THEIR FIRST TRUE FULL SIZE TRUCK. SURE THE INTERIOR IS A LITTLE OFF FOR WHAT THEY NORMALLY DO BUT IT'S OKAY FOR NOW. THEY ARE NOT GOING TO CHALLENGE FORD,CHEVY NOR DODGE NO TIME SOON. IN ABOUT TEN YEARS WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO STEAL A FEW SALES.JUST THE FACT THAT TOYOTA BUILT A FULL SIZE TRUCK,IS GOOD FOR ALL TRUCK BUYERS.IF TOYOTA GET TO BUILD THE TUNDRA FOR 25 OR 30 YEARS IT MIGHT GET TO BE NUMBER ONE. JUST A THOOUGHT.

Well said Moteloc! As far as this suspension is concerned, its crap! I would wait until a reputable aftermarket suspension company came out with a suspension system that actually increases wheel travel! Rear blocks are cheap crap that make your vehicle hop around when you need traction most! I would rather get some custom fenders or professionally trim to allow larger tires. Check out total chaos suspension for the Tacoma! Now that is nice! It makes the wimpy stock Tacoma go from 7ish inches of front suspension travel to 13 inches of wheel travel! Now that is engeneering! Then again the off road race trucks are even more impressive!

ToyTec is bringing out a coil-over soon, just like the kit they have for the FJ

A larger coil will not improve suspension articulation. An independant suspension works within a window and increasing coil size will do nothing but increase CV angles and decrease suspension droop!
