SPY PHOTOS: Next Nissan Murano spied

The Japanese car maker, Nissan, is preparing an all new replacement for the very successful Murano crossover SUV. The Murano which has been on the market since 2003 in the United States and also in Europe since 2004.

These photos are showing for the first time a prototype of its successor, caught during secret testing in Southern Europe. It is a right hand drive car and was accompanied by the recently launched Nissan Qashqai. Despite the prototype’s disguise, one can recognize the new styling of the front engined SUV, which will again be available with front or four-wheel-drive.

I didn't get that much for the pictures but I am sure that a Infiniti Fx won't be far behind.

It now competes more with the RAV4 than the Highlander, because although both Toyotas over seven seats, the RAV is the smaller of the two. I guess the Pathfinder competes with the Highlander/4Runner. Then where does the XTerra fit in?

Another stupid teaser with camo -- only one clear pic of the exterior. Nissan, don't waste my time advertising camo. Give me clear pics of both the interior and exterior and some assurance that this Murano will have a conventional 6-speed automatic and not a CVT.

It's not a teaser, it's a spy shot.
Nissan didn't take the photos, and the white car is a Nissan Qashqai, a Europe only model (made in Britain).
