2008 Renault Laguna Offers Fuel-Sipping Diesel Options

Abstract: The 2008 new Renault Laguna now offers fuel-sipping die sel options. The new Renault Laguna is not going to be officially shown off until the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show in October.


Renault did, however, release some photos (before someone posted videos of the model, without the permission of Renault) and some engine information. Let's discuss here the base diesel model which has a lot of good ecological implications.

I continue to see a citroen every time i look to this car, ok, Renault designs used to be diferent bet they were diferent from anything else now they are diferent but similar to citroen and this is not a compliment!!!

Since hybrid bashing is inevitable, I'll just say that its emissions are nowhere near the Prius, and with the 3rd-generation Prius on the way, its fuel economy wouldn't compare either.

Well it's quite a bit bigger and heavier than a Prius...136g/km is very good for a car of this size.
I don't know where the Prius is put in the US, but in Europe it's in the same class as a Golf/Jetta/Mazda3, not the size of this Laguna, which is the same as the Mondeo/3 series/Passat.
But the person who wrote the main article is wrong, engines are not taxed by displacement in Britain or I believe France.
