By the way, did you catch the article about Vehicle Satisfaction? The Lexus LS and BMW 7-Series tied for top honors in that survey. It looks as if these four luxury sedans cancel each other out...

Best in Initial Quality is a bunch of crap. Just like a relationship...hell all of them start off wonderful initially...it's funny everyone on this site has always critized jd powers. Let's see if that happens now.

I'll tell you where the BMW's are...in the shop. My 2 month-old 328i cab has windows that will go down but will only intermittently come up. Good thing I have a garage. More of this and I'll have to change my username.

And here I thought I was the only one to have a rear window problem.

Seems they never really fixed that problem.

I used to own a BMW 850ci (still have it but its storage collecting dust), who is i need of an exorcist.

The rear passenger window would lower itself whenever I hit a bump or pothole.
At first i thought ok perhaps a loose wire or switch brought the car to the shop a few hundred dollars later, problem repeated itself, brought it back a few times to the dealer for this occuring problem until my face was blue with anger. They never resolved the issue.

Loaned the car to my nephew and he calls to say the engine caught on fire.

Luckly for me this happened in front of a fire station where they put out the fire. It seems I am not the only one who suffered from BMW's V12 from catching fire.

Anyhow the cars been in storage for 8 years now. Kept it as a project car, will change the electrics, and probably dump an LS7 or a Viper V10 crate engine which could be bought for 13K

Who cares about initial quality, when you know it'll have lousy final quality.
