Motor Trend Inherits An Audi Q7 4.2 Premium S-Line
Last week, I got a new 2007 Audi Q7 sport/utility. Okay, all right . . . that's not entirely true. See, we've instituted a new protocol here at Motor Trend; namely, every long-term test vehicle gets a designated chaperone to guide it through its stay with us--make sure all services are done correctly and on time, act as clearinghouse for wear and repair issues, conduct regular status-check drives of said vehicle, etc. By the luck of the draw, or maybe due to the phase of the moon, or perhaps because I turned in my column on time for once, I ended up in charge of one of our newest and most delectable long-term arrivals: a glistening, Light Silver Metallic Audi Q7 Premium.

Naturally, when one is fortunate enough to make out so well, great care and tact are required so as not to step on the less-providential toes of others. Which is why I humbly say, in regard to my new role as our Q7's appointed shepherd: "It's mine! All mine! Mine mine mine mine mine mine MINE!!"

The S-Line kit is just amazing on the Q7. Along with the GL and Range Rover, it's easily one of the best-looking SUVs on the road.

That wannabe Range Rover is NOWHERE NEAR the Germans or anybody else. I even find a Chevrolet Tahoe better looking than that horrid LX570.

I really like the Q7...the front and side profiles are excellent. HOwever, I must demur to the rear - sort of squashed like an R-class? The lights look sort of whimsical

All Q7s should be sold with S-Line. I think I would even pass up a GL for this.

Apparently, it's going to be much easier to order with S-Line for 2008. I'm hoping to see more of them with it on the road, especially in dark blue and black, which is particularly flattering.

I'm pretty sure the A4 and A6 will be STANDARD with S-Line for 2008, though.

If I wanted a large SUV (or even just an SUV) this would be top of my list.

Same here Rupert, beautiful car. Especially in that silver. Not a fan of the standard one, but that S Line is well worth the extra money anyday.

The sport kit does more magic on the X5 than the S line on the Q7 IMO.

The new tahoe is a very good looking SUV and also cheap. I will post an article soon...
