WOW! That looks awesome compared to the old renderings of the X6. I really like how they incorporated the CS Concept design elements and put them together with the new X5.

that does look cool. Unfortunately I highly doubt the actual vehicle will look like that.

According to a reliable source I know, the picture shown is an accurate representation of the X6.

What a waste of BMW development time/money. You have market share, and are gaining market share, why dilute it with a basically insignificant product for the sake of direct competition with a competitor.
We don't have something which directly competes so lets make something that does. No you make something that captures a different consumer, so keep capturing them don't dilute your brand.
Frustrating.

so you're saying BMW shouldn't come out with a vehicle that a competitor has that they don't so they can get some of that market? That's kind of silly, of course they'd want to have an entry in a market that is doing well. I assume you're talking about the CLS in this case? Is that what you see the X6 competing with? My biggest problem with this vehicle is that it DOESN'T have a real market niche. I want them to have a CLS competitor, but with this car they're doing exactly what you WANT them to do -- they're creating an answer to a question no one asked as opposed to creating a vehicle that lines up with a direct competitor.

I appreciate your comments, they helped me further draw my conclusion. BMW can't afford to dilute there brand, by winning every battle, or settling every score. Let some things go.

I have not been a fan of BMW except for the praise I heap upon that company for offering powerful in-line 6-cylinder engines that are inherently in near-perfect balance. If the X6 is to beat the Q7 then BMW needs to install at least 2 Torsen differentials to top the Q7's single Torsen in the center.

That something he left in the toilet one morning was a 06GS300.

So the X6 is the outwardly sporty option, while the X5 will be more family oriented (offering seating for 7)?
Looks good...like a slicker Q7.

If they make an M version (I wouldn't make fun of them!), I'd probably look at it, myself. I'm going to want a sporty car that can handle clients and take friends out to dinner. Right now it's the S8.

They will never make an M-version. It doesn't fit in the whole M-Division philosofy.

Im quite sure they can make a better looking car than this. I WANT IT TO BE AGGRESSIVE!!!
