Supercars Are Selling Like Hot-Cakes in the Middle East

It used to be that the US was home to most of the European exotics but today more and more ultra-exclusive supercars are ending up in the deserts of the Middle East, namely the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Demand for European sports cars is surging in the region, with some dealers experiencing triple digit growth.

Most of the demand is riding on the back of high oil prices, strong economic growth and the increasing popularity of F1, reports Motoring SA. Ferrari, for instance, has experienced sales growth of 120% in the UAE, and a similar story can be told for the likes of Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Porsche.

Well, not all of them are dumb enough to rely solely on crude. Many have made investments overseas, and they'll rely on those once the crude is depleted.

2nd. nearly 85% of the population are expatriates so intelligent people from all over the world come here and most make a good living than in their home countries

Good rebuttal Agent-666. Yes, people are dying in "the Middle East" but "the Middle East" is such a broad and evasive phrase. As with most conflicts, most of the violence is centralized to small areas that are clearly red-flagged by the international community. And then there's individual terrorism occurances, which no one, not even the U.S. can completely free themselves from.

I just recently returned to the States from the Middle East region. I had heard of the lavish lifestyles that many enjoy in the region, but was still in awe of it all when I got there. Coming from someone who RESIDES in Los Angeles, where S-Classes are a dime a dozen, I saw so many SLRs and Carrera GTs my head was spinning.

Yes Anthony a lot of money flowing there and in China where Las Vegas type hotels are going up bigger and much more lavish. I know what you mean about the states and car areas, was in Scottsdale and Newport Beach recently all you see is Hummer, BMW and MBZ rule the day, but in the middle East you really see a lot of supercars every time you turn around, i guess at 3.50 a gallon they are king of the hill for now good post

As long as Americans keep buying BIG ASS trucks and SUVs for absolutely no reason, they're gonna have all the super cars they can fit in a sand dune. We all might as well just send OPEC a check once a month for $400(typical fuel bill) to help make that Lambo payment.
