I doubt it. We've seen camo shots of the new LC and it looks exactly like the LX570.

I doubt that, they will have to spend more money on each design then manufacturing the different designs reducing profits, which is what it's all about. Whilst they can convince Lexus fanboys that Lexus are special, and not Toyotas but come with the same styling and reliability, they'll keep on making them look the same.

I went to the Dominican Republic (3rd world country) last week and saw something called a Toyota Prado, And guess what it was? A TOTAL REBADGE OF THE LEXUS GX470 and they were used as Taxi's everywhere, but you wouldnt know that because ur not a real enthusiast for even your own brand.

We live a lie in America with some of the Lexus models. Such a shame.

Find out your facts first before you go blabbing... I too have been to the D.R. and like w209w114 said they do have a Toyota version of this SAME exact truck, just says Toyota on it and it is used as a cab.... come on dude... RESEARCH before TYPING!

In Europe, at least. Looks as if North America will get a different-looking one. The Lexus LX and Toyota LC cannot look exactly alike in Lexus's key market. However most likely, this is a new Sequoia.

That shape looks a bit different from the new LX photos released a while ago. I would assume that SUV is the new Sequoia. If the front end looks like it be fitted on the new Tundra, then that's a Sequoia test vehicle.

Very nice looking but I'm afraid that Lexus cannot build a car that handles as good as the cars that they are competing against (Porsche 911, BMW M6, Audi R8). I shouldn’t say “cannot”, but Lexus in its eighteen years of existence haven’t built a car that handles as nice as a BMW much less Porsche. Buyers of that type of car are looking for everyday drivability (which Lexus has), and industry-leading level handling (which the Lexus doesn’t have. or at least they haven’t built a car like that yet). We’re finally going to get to see what Lexus is truly capable of.


Oh yeah, The GS looks bloated and ungainly IMO. The LS is nice.

It's not the women that have done away with the original bullet proof 4X4 king, its all the pansys that complain that it rides rough and complain it doesn't drive like there BMW! This is just another piece of shit in a 4x4 enthusiast perspective. Why don't they call this grocery getter something else and make a real 4X4 Land Cruiser!

in singapore they use e-classes as taxis. tht doesnt bother me nor this doesnt make MB less of a luxury brand. it'll be too long for me to probably explain why singapore does this.

Would they really need to put it under so much camo? They've already shown the LX570. I agree with Will- this is probably the new Sequoia.

That's nearly the same size as Suburban,Armada...etc.

I doubt the next LC will be this big.

This much size + Weight = LC no longer the OFFRoad KING.

Landcruiser stopped being the off road king when they got rid of the solid front axle around ten years ago!

true, but the current LC is real big and its real good at off-roading.

Come on! Could anyone see this cat off road? I am not talking about a logging road, I am talking about serious 4x4ing! An all wheel drive minivan could out wheel this street princess! A beautiful suv but a lousy 4x4! If you disagree you have no clue four wheeling is all about! I loved the original FJ and the solid axle pickup, they would go anywhere with a bit of a modification! Anywhere!

Lexus ALWAYS understates their 0 - 60 times by at least .5 seconds. Here are the results of the 5 Top Luxury Cars in this test which was reported in the January Issue of Car and Driver. Please note these tests were all done on the same day at about the same time and at the same altitude. The results reflect the average of 3 runs and all cars are the 2007 vintage.

Mercedes S550 5.6, 0 - 60 quarter mile in 14.1 (Benz show 5.4 in their specs)
BMW 750iL 5.7, 0 - 60 quarter mile in 14.2
Jag XJ Super 6.0 0 - 60 quarter mile 14.5
Lexus LS460L 6.2 0 - 60 quarter mile 14.6
Audi A8 6.8 0 - 60 quarter mile 15.2

Note that Lexus, as usual, is more than the 5.4 the manufacturer CLAIMS to get by .8 seconds.

Also note the LS430 (prior model the LS460 replaced) was rated at 295 HP and was actually 278 when Lexus corrected their rating. And there were no refunds or apologies from the so-called "quality" car company. ABC - Always Be Careful what you buy from the (REPREHENSIBLE) Toyota/Lexus people.....

Another POS! Toyota please call this something else and bring back the original Land cruiser! I am shure this is a great SUV but why call it a L/C? The original Land Cruisers actually had off road ability!
