MDX vs. RX vs. SRX vs. X5 vs. MKX Consumer Reports, July 2007

I am happy with the MDX tying the RX just proof that Acura's quality is there with Lexus. Now if they would step up the luxury level I wouldn't be fighting such an uphill battle.

Other than that...

My ranking:

1. X5 (not amazing to look at, but it performs well)
2. RX (my personal favorite in terms of looks; it may be a chick car, but the refresh has done it well)
3. SRX (attractive, sporty, just not great on the inside)
4. MDX (boring)
5. MKX (it's a Lincoln)

Well... there is nothing special about that. At the end of a car's life child diseases and other small reliability issues are normally solved. So the real winner here is Acura.

Your comment says nothing. The current-generation RX has consistently ranked high with Consumer Reports since its inception.

I kind of like the MKX, the only thing that throws me off is that the grille continues horizontally all the way from headlight-to-headlight. Put a space between the grille and headlights!!

Other than that, the new MDX is uglier than the X5, which came as a surprise.

RX and S"RX" are my choices.

Why is that surprising? X5 has always been much better-looking than MDX.

MDX BORING??? Who the bleep is this guy? And what does he do?
Probaly a postal worker....I have two MDX's and they are SO FAR FROM BORING!!! Everyone compliments them from the extorior and interior. And when it comes to handling and acceleration....THEY ARE FUN.

People rank the X5 high cause of prestige (You must have money to afford one) the exterior of them are just like a Land Rover...put you to sleep. If you put a Saturn emblem on an X5 no one would pay that much for it.

Lexus RX? My god so over rated, I test drove it three times, and it did nothing for me. Better off buying the Caddy SRX if you don't want to go with the MDX.

MDX is rated top Lux SUV several years in a row...that says it.
