Next Mazda6 confirmed to debut at Frankfurt

The next generation Mazda6 has been cofirmed to make its official debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show coming up in September. In an “internal e-mail received by Auto.tihai.mid, the next-generation Mazda6 will go on sale in Europe mid-November.

OK, so to get a Mondeo we have to buy a Mazda. The car looks good but Mazda should come up with a better-looking logo especially since it is so prominent on the grille. What I would like to know is what are the implications for Mazda's survival as a brand if Ford's survival becomes a bigger question mark than it is now. I would like to see Ford survive but the challenge to fix Ford's problems is monumental. Ford should try to make a deal with its creditors to wipe the slate clean in exchange for 50% ownership in the company and then restructure the company completely by crunching down into manageable proportions with a revised higher-end product offering at reasonable prices that the middle class can afford. Yes, that would water down the existing shareholder stake but at leaast the company would survive. As for product, what I have in mind is equivalent to selling Oldsmobiles at Chevrolet prices and Lincolns at Grand Marquis prices. They all cost about the same to make in economic quantities and arguments to the contrary are based on flawed accounting practices.
