Spied: 2009 Opel/Saturn Vectra/Aura

Opel’s aging Vectra sedan is well overdue for a major overhaul, but a replacement vehicle isn’t due until the second half of next year. Several prototypes, such as this one, have been spotted by spy photographers that reveal the new Vectra will have a wider and taller body than the current generation. The larger body is seen as a key strategy towards positioning the new Vectra up-market, putting it on a better standing against cars like Volkswagen’s Passat and the Alfa Romeo 159.

Wow, looks a lot like the next 08 Malibu. I hope the next Saturn Aura will look a little different on the outside, but the interior needs to stay exactly the same IMO.

Can't tell a whole lot with all that camo on it, but the shape reminds me a bit of the GS.

So Europe is going to get this as an Opel at the end of this year, and then it's coming stateside to replace the Aura before 2010? Didn't the Aura just come out as a 2007?

The redsign going to affect the value of the Saturn Aura,it's simple the more redesigns a model get,the lower it's residual value..

Htay7500, that was me about the Aura flaws, a good handfull of people I know that bought this car have mentioned sheer regret for picking one up, and are trying to get out of their lease much earlier. Some are willing to pay the penalty just to not be seen in one anymore. GM said from Oct 2006 to May 2007 they will sell across North America(Canada & U.S.) about 75,000 Auras,...well to date I believe it's about 22,000 so far.
