Thank God! This car is useless! I hope Saab can build a good SUV... or even better, no SUV.

I totally agree. This rebadged Trailblazer and that 9-2x were a disaster for Saab!

I thought Saab went out of business ten years ago.

they essentially did... these are not "saabs" but this was probably the only car company that could actually be improved by GM. A family friend owns 3 Saabs and 2 were Lemon Lawed.

I wonder what kind of deal can be had for one of these? $25K or below and I'll take one in black...

There was supposed to be a new Saab SUV in the works that will be a variant of the Subaru Tribeca, called the 9-6x. What happened to that?

That was dead in the water two years ago.

This vehicle was a non-starter to begin with. Just goes to show you the kind of pressure auto execs are under these days. Decisions are made carelessly just to keep up the appearance of trying hard at lowest cost. Is there anyone out there with true automotive vision -- someone who can come up with a product that will be desired by all and that does not need a flawed marketing sudy to justify production.

A 2009 version will be ready for the later half of 2008, under the name SAAB 9-4X, which is a complete redesign and engineering by SAAB. The downside is that it will be built in Mexico, beside Jose' A-la-Tacos...but I am serious about the actual truck being made...lol
