Kimi Raikkonen to leave Ferrari

Kimi Raikkonen could depart Ferrari as soon as the end of this season, according to reports. Germany’s Auto-Bild-Motorsport said the beleaguered Maranello based team has already commenced its search for the Finn’s successor, after failing to live up to his reputation and newfound status as the highest earning F1 racer following his switch from McLaren for 2007.

I think Kimi still good but Ferrai can't make a good car at lest this year to compete to Mclaren.
Last year Massa was bad shape than Kimi and he got better now. At least kimi need to run full circle

I like Kimi, and with no doubt he could of done better but due to reliablity problems last season was often screwed over. But now Mclaren have upped their game and have a very impressive vehicle, i can't help thinking Kimi would of been better off there.

the point being made is the level of progress by toyota

they had the largest budget for several years and at present still have spend a lot of $$$ & are a joke to F1. They have hardly made any progress over the years

If your comparing McLaren to Toyota on the budget, the performance difference is from the huge!

I like Kimi but he's inconsistent and also got some attitude problem.

Kimi (even Alonso) can't see their team mates perform better than them and want all the attention otherwise their interest and performance drops.

Kimi gets USD 52M.Now the highest paid driver till now should have more than a pole and a win to his name. (Remember all 3 of his arch rivals now have 2 wins to their name)

I agree he is not living up to the hype and status (He is the successor of Shumi and also the highest paid).

BTW after Monaco race, when asked he gave the clue that he's unhappy and regret leaving Mclaren and also showed interest in Honda (where he can get the most money and also where his team mate doesn't beat him)

BTW i hope him a good luck. I still like him.

Glad to see Kimi behind Massa. Also it is nice to see that Jenson Button has not scored any points this season. I would still like to see one last hurrah from Sir Frank before he leaves.

I think all an uncompetitive team and car needs is a competitive driver and a group of engineers who understand what direction they should go with its car to become top tier. Any manufacturer has potential to win, it's the smaller teams with small budgets that will have issues.

McLaren strength probably won't last beyond this year.

Lets not forget Adrian Newey designed this years McLaren and is now employed by Red Bull.
