Mercedes not only has a lot to do to catch up Lexus's innovative safety features but also still a very long way to go to even putting out a hybrid vehicle.

The statements you are making are absolutely absurd. Lexus or Toyota has yet to make any substantial innovation to the automotive industry, yet alone a safety innovation.

Toyota and Lexus being able to combine all the great existing technology into one efficiently-working package is innovation in itself. You want Mercedes to just keep on engineering technology and then not have it improved upon by other manufacturers? What do you think Toyota is doing with their hybrid technology? No, it's not exactly "safety" tech, but I'm trying to prove another point. Someone will undoubtedly chime in that a German invented the hybrid first a 100 years ago, and fine, but where would that technology be today without Toyota? The whole entire idea behind automotive technology is to improve the automobile as a whole, and thanks to Toyota, more car companies than ever are borrowing the technology, and studying it to improve upon it. Without a doubt a Prius has been taken apart and put back together by every single automaker in the industry.

What is it with you people? Of course Mercedes is the most innovative company when it comes to safety! Why are 100+ hate-filled responses needed to one humorous remark? You don't think the world already knows Mercedes is the premiere company when it comes to safety technology? Stop worrying! They know that already!

Haha even the 100 year old Jag beats the LS and I agree it beats the LS in every way!! I rlly wonder how much the new XJ will blow out the LS. Well the comparisons are right MB and Audi shud be in the top 2. BMW I find is just very bloated n bulky but deserves 3rd.
