2008 MINI Clubman Spy Photos... Is the Bigger MINI Still "Mini"?

Spy photographer Chris Schotanus has caught another glimpse of the upcoming Mini Clubman that is expected to debut in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The clear images show the stretched Mini's split tailgate and rear passenger side door.

This will be the fourth variant of the Mini when it is released in November (Cooper, Cooper S, Cooper d and Clubman). There is no word on if and when we will get this car in the US.

Looks more like a chop-shop job than a new model, and I bet the extra length ruins the dialed-in FWD handling of the original.

MINI has jumped the shark on this one.

I like the idea, now we need a raised version to create a Mini SUV.
