Chrysler is looking for new applications for the 3.0-liter 6 cylinder diesel engine built by Mercedes-Benz.Frank Klegon, executive vice president of Chrysler for product development, didn’t specify what this new applications might be. The automaker uses now the diesel only on the 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

put it in the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 and nobody cares about the Magnum except the movie, "The Island" with Scarlett Johannsen

There should be a diesel option for every vehicle but diesels can also used in standby generators for remote cottages as well as in marine applications. GM makes some huge diesels for locomotives.
