Too bad North America most likely will not see Alfa or Citroen.

The interesting things is that Alfa, Saab, and Citroen should be the more natural competitors than the Japanese because these are European.
Rupert you are right - it is still that way in Europe.

I respect and admire germans big 3.

I think you still pay too much.
40% of the cars price goes for the brand-name.

Whats up with GM? They need their premium brands (Cadillac and Saab) to get a full size platform. I feel like a broken record because I keep saying that Saab should get a 9-7 (to go with 9-3 & 9-5) and Cadillac should get a ULS.

The 9-7 was offered in the US and Europe. It was a sales flop. Gas guzzlers no longer sell well.

Saab needs to emulate Audi more: FWD and AWD cars that are safe and handle slippery roads without a problem. People who think of Saab as a performance car company or a luxury division of GM have ruined Saab. Saab used to be known for tough, fun, economical little 4-season cars. Time to go back to its roots, maybe this time with AWD options.

moto - if you notice Acura has followed the similar strategy as Audi. FWD and AWD and now with the RDX - they are using turbos as well. You could be right about Saab - maybe they'll hire you - because somebody needs to help them. It's sad to see them where they are now.

Citroen might do it! I want a Citroen C-6 real bad but it is not available in North America. The proposed new Panhard from Peugeot might do it also. As for GM, Cadillac has a better chance than Saab. I don't think the others have a chance but I do like the Alfa Romeo.
