Kelly Blue Book Study Finds Consumers Continue to Favor Domestic Trucks
Domestic nameplates took the top spots in the pickup truck segment, according to the results of Kelley Blue Book's latest marketing research survey that examined best driving performance.

Import OEMs, however, swept nearly every other spot in the six other vehicle segments included with the report issued by Kbb.com Thursday.

Chevrolet, GMC and Dodge trucks were listed as the top-performing units in the Brand Watch study. Officials noted that these trucks were consumers' top choices for best interior and exterior, as well.

"Pickups are the last bastion of domestic dominance, and that dominance is strong with Chevrolet, GMC and Dodge sweeping the top three spots for performance with not an import in sight," explained Jack Nerad, executive editorial director and executive market analyst of Kelley Blue Book and Kbb.com.

This is how it was about 20 years ago with the big 3 dominating sales. They did nothing and just relied on their huge sales while the competition from the east became more and more competitive and kept improving their products and quality. Look at where they (japanese) are now. Not a domestic in site.
