So it has a slight kink in the waist line and suddenly it's the modern-day Taurus?

Talk about making a mountain out of a mole hill.

The rest of the car is suitable camouflaged, so how you can come to any conclusion about the exterior design is beyond me.

From what I can see of the side profile, this new design looks attractive but safe. Ford didn't take any risks here.

And if my post sounds like I contradicted myself, oops. I should have said the side-profile is playing it safe.

When I first saw the pictures of the Lincoln the same though about its resemblance to the XF ran through my mind briefly. It just seemed disconcertingly similar.

If you look at the images side by side they are not the same. They have similar elements such as the thin line of material running across the dash structure with a band above it that contains the navigation system and vents. If you look though, the Jaguar dash is more erect, and the center console is wider. In addition, the wooden band in the Jaguar designates the most passenger toward point of the dash whilst the band in the Lincoln does not.

There are some basic elements that are similar, but they really are not the same design. I urge anyone to compare for themselves, in fact, the more I flip back and forth, the less I think they resemble each other. I think that will become more apparent as we are able to see entire dash structures.
