Preview: 2009 Mercedes-Benz GLK
These are the latest renderings of Mercedes’ upcoming midsized SUV, which is scheduled to enter production in the second half of next year. This rendering, compiled with information sourced from insiders close to the project, show that the new GLK picks up the same angular design theme and ruggedness seen in the rest of the Mercedes SUV range. The only major difference from previous impressions is the new tear-drop headlights and shortened taillights.

I like it, but the front kind off looks like a Kia.

I like KIA's conservative styling . In some models, KIA looks better than Hyundai.

Yeah, it does, but the current Kia Sorrento has a neat, clean design. It doesn't stand out, but isn't particularly bland.

I do like that the GLK bears a good resemblance to the big GL. This was a time to make a vehicle that carries the overall family design theme.

Can we have someone to prevent the same story from being posted on the same day...?

Thanks Mercedes, but its possible that nobody will care. There's only a limited market for a small SUV that has tight interior space, no cargo room, lousy gas mileage, expensive price, and an uncomfortable ride.

As Acura can attest - all the people who wanted the above attributes in a tiny SUV have already bought a BMW X3...and their next purchase will be something more practical.
