Kia to go sportier and get rear-wheel from Hyundai

This year at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Korean auto maker Kia will debut a concept that will go head-to-head with the Audi TT. Designed by, Peter Schreyer, the original designer of the TT for Audi, he plans to show Audi exactly what Kia is capable of.

Well now more information has surfaced claiming that the car could get rear-wheel-drive from Kia’s parent company, Hyundai, who is working on their own rear-wheel-drive coupe.

Hyundai and KIA are developing into very acceptable brands. They are making some brilliant moves by introducing RWD vehicles with LSD for example.

Hyundai cars are built for non-specific targets among population therefore it may look very blandish to us, car enthusiasts eyes but to others..its very welcoming cars indeed. It'll do well...b/c it simply serves its purpose..and this was their goal and goals met.

If Lexus was able to have a share in today's mass market I think KIA and Hyundai should deserve a try as well. Don't forget where Toyota has started. KIA is where Toyota was many many years ago. Lexus wasn't accepted by many as they were rebadged Toyotas. To this day they still share some components. These components depends when you get it could come from Japan or from the US.

What I'm getting at is KIA and Hyundai is a laughing stock like how Lexus was when they first started. Mercedes inspired and wanting to be the Mercedes of the US. After years they have captured the US Market and that's a huge accomplishment. That's just the US not the rest of the world(especially Europe, where luxury all began).

KIA and Hyundai is boring now but what will happen in 50 years? Will our next generations think differently like how many baby boomers think Lexus is inferior to the brands from Europe? We should keep up to date and watch this all unfold.

Lexus was very successful by every measure and surpassed expectations by a mile. It was a run away success from the start from every angle imaginable and hasn't faltered ever since that inception year of 1988! Get your FACTS straight.

Again, not a bad car especially from Kia. But this will not compete in anyway with the Audi TT.
Homer, what agent63 meant, was that when Toyota first launched Lexus many enthusiasts and rich people who would buy the german brands laughed at this attempt. Lexus did not steal away from the german brands from day one. They gave people with smaller checkbooks the opportunity to own a better car. But much has changed since then.

If you actually think when the LS first cam out S-class buyers were running to the car, you're living in a dream. The LS never made a huge dent in S-class sales until the new LS came out. I've been in the car industry long enough to know this. And actually working in the industry is a lot more informative then copy pasting what u read on the net.
