BMW hopes to work closer with Mercedes and PSA

BMW hopes to join forces with DaimlerChrysler and the PSA Peugeot Citroen Group to share the development burden for not only hybrid technology but also for new transmission and engine tech. BMW Exec Klaus Draeger revealed during an interview with Auto Motor und Sport that component sharing between the three carmakers was feasible within the next four years but there are no plans for common platforms.

mercedes already rejected bmw... and i think mercedes is working with audi on the bluetec so bmw's chance is only pegeout citroen...

yep, MB is working more with audi more and in the DC auto show this yr, the audi venue featured a blutec 3.2 or 3.0 Q7. it was very nice although this is the SWB version and was sent from Germany. one of the guys said it was in its concept stage if I can remember.

BMW will help Mercedes! Peugeot has now hightech engines from BMW. That`s for the MINI. A BMW has only BMW engines.
Remember: The first Audi engines was Mercedes engines! Only trucks are ident from Mercedes, Chrysler and Volkswagen. What`s Audi? It´s a kid from Volkswagen and Porsche.
