Audi sells a record 509,000 new cars for first half of the year

Audi has sold just over a half a million cars in the first half of the year, a 9.8% increase over last year and a new record for the luxury brand. Having sold approximately 509,000 units this year, Audi could even reach its 2008 target of selling a million vehicles twelve months early, avowed Audi marketing exec Ralph Weyler.

Audi is definitely on the move.
With the new A5/S5 and then the new A4 coming out, I'd have to guess that a year from now their sales will have to be up at least 10-15% over today's levels(if we don't have a worldwide recession).

I was just in europe and can't believe how many audis there are - way, way more than in the US. It is one of the most common vehicles on the road. I am not surprised about their sales numbers.

Supra - this is the official Audi press release. It gives sales by country. The U.S. has fallen to Audi's #4 market after Germany, Great Britain, and China. That is interesting.

the LWB a6 which rivals the LWB 5 series in China only, #'s there for the audi skyrocket. there is becoming huge demand for these cars there.
