Next generation Bmw M3 in spotted in California
BMW’s already taken the wraps off the next-generation M3, but it can’t come quickly enough. Even the sight of two prototypes testing in Venice, California, gets our pulse pounding.

Have I seen those before? They look like regular 335is with M3 badges and different wheels.

Got M3 Exhausts
Got M3 Rear Apron
Got M3 Wing Mirrors
Got M3 Vent in front Fenders

I would think this is a proper M3

This is the real thing, or a tuner project.

"M3 could go on sale and no one would care, we've seen enough of it and it's already old."

I don´t think so, look what happened with the new mustang, despite everybody new how it was going to look in the end, everybody wanted one. And everywhere you look there is a next gen. Camaro and it is still a success. Besides,i think the fact that the new M3 has a V8 engine makes it a very desirable car. It wouldn´t surprise me at all to see that people are not buying the actual in line 6 M3 (even if it is a great car) waiting for the next gen.

The exhausts are to close to the center of the car, it does have that mean and sinister look that the Audi RS4 has.

I'm just glad they don't look as tacky as those found on the Lexus IS-F. Those are just plain goofy.

In other word, it look boring, come BMW...is this the best you can come up with? I expected more from BMW with the new M3.

I think that 2 mid-size exhausts would look better than 4 small ones, at this rate 2012 M3 will have 1 exhaust per cylinder

IF you go to a BMW dealer and ask to be put on a wait list, it will be a long time before you would actually see one. There has not been this much hype for a BMW in quite some time. Look at how well the current 3-series coupe is selling. we are one of the biggest BMW dealers in Chicago and have about 26 people on a wait list to get one.

Have the official specs been release yet? Because it looks really wider than the actual one. May be it´s the shape of the tail lights?

am i the only one who doesn't like this car as much as e46 m3? sure v8 engine can't be beat but the design can be so much different and better. I much rather have the c63 if it came in a stick shift.
And toyota fans, dont compare m3 or c63 with toyota isf. in japan, even japanese people recongnize that lexus is just another brand along with mitsubishi and honda. japanese people know that lexus is just a toyota.

I'm disappointed, I was expecting something more aggressive. I hope that is not final production, otherwise I would agree with a few of the other comments... It doesn't look much different then the 335i coupe. Good looking, but the coupe stole it's thunder if these are actual pictures. 8 (

That is the corner of Ocean Avenue and Pico Boulevard in Santa Monica, not Venice. Funny enough, I have seen about 10 disguised E92 M3's and all were at that intersection. I guess BMW uses the route for testing. Why not? It's one of the most beautiful streets in the country.

the bmw salesperson above can sell an m3 for $10k, as in $10,000.00, on ebay? lol. wow.

:p. i know you meant the allocation, but a buyer would have to really rash to buy an allocation of $10k.
