Car and Driver sums up the C63 AMG in a couple of webpages
An article generally in praise of the new car - of course admitting that it faces an "uphill battle" against king-of-the-hill BMW M3.
As the folks at AMG would say, for the accomplishment of the C63, "“Finally, vee vill get ze respect ve deserve!”

"Finally, vee vill get ze respect ve deserve!”

LOL! Gotta love the humor of Car and Driver.

Either way, I have read a handful of reviews and they all seem the applaud the handling capabilities of the new C63 AMG. It seems that AMG has indeed finally gotten serious about offering some stiff competition against BMW M. Should be very interesting, this segment...

I think we are in for a big surprise here. The M3 in its first reviews is not quite living up to the expectations emotionally and rationally (mind you, the E46 M3 didn't receive many good reviews at first..). While the C63 is a totally different AMG-animal. They finally got the steering right. Although it is still an Autobahn-stormer one can take it on a track and have some serious fun.

But then again these are still early conclusions.

On a side note, some people are simply not getting it. AMG, Motorsport and quattro GmbH are all different companies with different philosophies. Again, AMG doesn't has the ambition to beat M3s on a track. It's not that they're not capable of doing it (CLK DTM AMG, Black Series-line, 030-package,..etc) but they just don't want to. Audi on the other hand is gunning after the M3/M5 with their RS-models. The S-models are more aimed for luxury.

It is and always has been a fight between the German 3. Many others have tried to compete too (Jaguar, Cadillac and soon Lexus) but none has made an impact so far.

Probably because what you're saying is not true and because you forgot to mention the Lexus IS-F, the class leader.
