2007 Hyundai Elantra

The 2007 Hyundai Elantra made its world debut today at the New York Auto Show. Hyundai's 2007 Elantra is the seventh all-new model from Hyundai in just 24 months. "The all-new Elantra delivers more interior space than Civic or Corolla — even more space than Acura TL — and a level of ride and handling refinement that's both agile and comfortable," said John Krafcik, vice president, Product Development and Strategic Planning, Hyundai Motor America. "Add in great standard safety features like six airbags, anti-lock brakes and active front head restraints, and our assertive new design, and it's clear that Elantra offers unbeatable value."

06gs300-The BMW 1 series that iscoming to America will have either the 3.0 in line 6 developing 230HP and 200 LBS of torque or the twin turbo in line 6 developing 300HP and 300 LBS of torque. I'm assuming therefore you are in Europe where the 1 series is sold with smaller 4 cylinder and diesel engines. In the US we get the 1 series coupe.The Elantra would be no match for the 1 series coming to the US.Check out www.autoweek.com for the latest news on the US 128I and 135I.The Elantra compares to a Honda Civic,Mitsubishi Lancer,Mazda 3,Nissan Sentra,VW Rabbit and Jetta,not the 1 series.
