New Calibra coupe in the works

The Opel Calibra hasn’t been in showrooms for almost a decade, but with the unveiling of the Opel GTC concept car there’s hope that the Euro coupe may make a return. Though it’s yet to be confirmed for production, a spokesman from Opel revealed that management is keeping its options open and that there is a gap in the market left by the demise of the Monaro coupe.

Very good news! The Calibra is a well respected sports coupe in Europe. I remember the wild rumors of the Calibra coming to the U.S. as a Camaro/ Firebird replacement back in the early 90's.

The Opel Calibra of the early 90's was a great looking car. This one has a weird looking front end.
